Alex DeMoss has been a composer for short film and an arranger for orchestral music, driven by a passion to create music that inspires and excites. His work seeks to connect deeply with listeners, evoking emotion through both rich, expansive orchestrations and more intimate, simplified musical settings. Whether enhancing film and visual media through score or guiding audiences through familiar stories with singular instrumental works, Alex aims to craft music that resonates on a meaningful and lasting level.
A graduate of Southeastern University, he majored in Worship Studies and earned a certificate in composition, developing a strong foundation in both musical artistry and technical skill.
Alex’s work has received recognition in competitive settings, including the 2026 Winter Indie Film Music Contest, where his score for the short film Walter earned 4th place out of 115 entries. His academic contributions include composing for the Southeastern University Christmas Concert, featuring his original arrangement of Of the Father’s Love Begotten, now available on Spotify.
In addition to his film scoring work, Alex has created a range of orchestral and string arrangements, including It Is Well, along with numerous original compositions for strings and full orchestra. His music reflects a passion for storytelling, blending traditional influences with a contemporary voice.
